Touch is Slow or "Lagging" - 7000 Series

When properly connected to the board, selecting the input to display your device's screen should allow you to immediately start using the touch function once displayed on the board.

But if you find that you cannot select anything, or when you try to touch and drag that your touch will stop registering after a split-second, you may need to update the software on your computer.

Updating your connected device:

There are two different software that may need to be updated:

• Windows (if using a windows device)
• Smart Product Update

Note: You MUST start by making sure windows is up-to-date.

Updating Windows Step-by-Step:

• Press windows key and type "Check for updates" in the search bar. 

• Once you open the Windows Update Settings window, select the grey button at the top to start the install, download or restart (it can vary).

• It should install all your updates automatically, but may restart a few times during the process. It depends on how many updates are queued to install.

• Once your operating system is completely up-to-date, move on to the next step, which is updating your smart product drivers.

Updating Smart Product Drivers

• Press the windows key and type: "Smart Product Updates" in the search bar.

• Once the SMART Product Update window is open, press the "Check now" button on the bottom right side.

• If no updates are found, this message will be displayed:

• If updates are found, the greyed-out buttons in the "New Version"column will now be selectable.
  • Press "Update" on all the products that have available updates.

• If prompted, restart your device after all available updates have been installed.

• Your Smartboard should be much more responsive now that it is completely updated.
