Hotspot Process

Modified on Wed, 19 Oct 2022 at 01:40 PM

Parent/Guardian will fill out an application for hotspot.

  • Applications will be verified by Tech staff for eligibility.

    • Free or reduced lunch

    • One per family

    • Does not have a hotspot not returned from the previous year

  • The building technician will be notified via the helpdesk to provide a device for the student and provide to the building point person.

  • Your building point person will communicate with families for pickup.

  • If a student turns the hotspot back in,  the building point person will do a helpdesk so the technician and front office can update IQ and Skyward.

    • The technician will notify the front office when a hotspot is returned

  • We will run frequent reports for the building point person, so they can stay on top of it, and monitor families that exit, and end of year return.

  • All hotspots need to be returned by the end of the school year, if a student leaves the district prior to the end of the school year the hotspot needs to be returned on the last day of school.

  • Hotspots not returned may be charged a $90 replacement fee.

  • There are 100 hotspots across the district to check out. Once they are all checked out we will not be able to honor anymore requests.
