"Flicker Fix"

Modified on Thu, 23 Aug 2018 at 07:55 AM

FOR THIS FIX - YOUR DEVICE ***MUST*** BE PLUGGED INTO THE DOCK!!!

Periodically, when using the USB-C style dock, your secondary monitor or projector will "flicker" or go black momentarily before returning to normal functionality.

Sometimes, this can happen with great frequency.

In order to fix this, follow these steps:

1)  Go to Device manager.  To do this, his the "Start" or "windows" button in the button left of your screen and type devmgmt.msc and press enter

2) Go to "Network Adapters" and click on "Realtek USB GbE Family Controller"

3.  Click on the "Advanced" tab in the properties menu.  Find the option for "Selective Suspend" and set it to "Disabled."  Click "Okay."

Your flicker issue should now be resolved.
