Follow the guide below in order to add a printer to your device, if it is not already installed.
- Minimize or close any programs or browser windows until you are at your desktop and locate the “Network Printers” shortcut. See Figure 1 below.

- Double-click on the “Network Printers” icon and a window will open listing all available printers on the district's network. See Figure 2 below.

- You can select the printer that you want from the screen shown in figure 2.
- You can narrow it down further by clicking in the search bar in the top right of the window, and typing in the building abbreviation.
- After the dash next to the building abbreviation is the room or general location of the printer. After the final dash is the model of printer.
AVC – Bloomington Area Career Center
BJHS – Bloomington Junior High School
BHS – Bloomington High School
BENT – Bent Elementary
IRVN – Irving Elementary
OAK – Oakland Elementary
SHER – Sheridan Elementary
STEV – Stevenson Elementary
WASH – Washington Elementary
- Once you find the correct printer, double click it or right-click and select “Open.”
- If a Windows Driver Installation prompt appears, please select “Yes.”
- Once the printer queue automatically opens up, you should be able to use that printer. See Figure 3 below, it may be empty or there may be some jobs already there- this is normal.
