The following process will be followed for damaged devices:


  1. Damaged device is returned to the building chromebook point person

  2. The building chrome book point person will:

    1. Update device asset status within Incident IQ to ‘Broken’ 

    2. A new device may be issued to the student 

  3. In the case of intentional abuse, the building technician opens a  helpdesk ticket with pictures and escalates to Technology Director and ships device off to Trafera for a repair quote after marking device asset status as 'Intentionally Broken'.

  4. Technology Director contacts the building principal, including cost to repair or replace.

  5. Building principal will meet with the student, contact the guardian about restitution, and record within Skyward Discipline.

  6. The Director of Safety and Security will be contacted by the principal if a police report is warranted.

  7. District 87 will issue an invoice to the family on record and communicate with the building principal on status of terms.
